Cambria County in the Civil War

Beginning in 2011, the entire country began preparations to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the start of the American Civil War. While Cambria County was not the location of a major military action, there was considerable support for the war effort. This collection contains diaries and other information documenting Cambria County’s participation.

As part of the Civil War commemoration, a collection of letters was digitized that while connected to the history of Centre County, proved to be so valuation a resource as to be contained herein.
