Cambria Memory Project

To commemorate the 135th Anniversary of the Great Johnstown Flood of 1889 there are several new additions to the Cambria Memory Project’s collection of the great flood.  New scans of lantern slides and photographs, a biography of a member of the Company H, 5th PA National Guard who participated in the relief efforts, and the never-before-seen descriptions of the unknown dead interred in Grandview Cemetery. To view these new items, a special page has been created. These items will become part of the permanent collection by the end of the year.
