The following resources are available for conducting research on Cambria County and its history.

 

Pennsylvania History Collection – This is a catalog that contains the holdings of the Penn Highlands Community College Library. Also contains materials from the Johnstown Area Genealogical and Historical Society. All materials are available hours the library is open.

Digital Newspapers – Many Cambria County newspapers are available in the Pennsylvania Newspaper Archive

Online Databases – The Penn Highlands Community College Library has several online databases for use during library hours. These include Ancestry, Accessible Archives, and MyHertiage.  Online access is available for members of the Johnstown Area Genealogical and Historical Society.

PA Photos and Docs – Contains collections from across Pennsylvania including collections from the State Library of Pennsylvania and many colleges. universities, and public
libraries.

Digital Public Library of America – A collection of over 14 million items from libraries,
archives, and museums.
